FAQ - Gelato Cart Catering

Go to our catering section and fill out our Request for Proposal Form. Our event manager will prepare a proposal and email it back to you. Please feel free to email us at info@gemmagelato.com or call 240-830-3900 for event sales.

We require at least 30 days notice of your event cancellation, and your deposit will be refunded in full. If the cancellation is less than 30 days of your event, your deposit may be forfeited.
We have a minimum charge for 50 guests. If you have 35 guests, the charge for 50 guests will be charged.

The maximum per cart is 250 guests. If your party is larger than that, it may become necessary for you to book additional carts.

One week prior to your event, unless the change requires an additional cart, where it would be based on availability.
The Washington DC Metropolitan Area. Our headquarters is in Rockville, Maryland. If you are more than 60 miles away, please call us.
We need a covered area to serve from. Our carts are 42” wide and 22” deep.

Our flavors are changing regularly with each season. If you have a special request, please contact us 10 days ahead of your event.  

Yes, most of our flavors are gluten free.

Yes, our sorbettos are vegan, completely dairy and fat free.

We serve our products in standard 4 ounce gelato cups and also on waffel cones.

We provide the paper cups and napkins for your guests along with gelato spoons.

FAQ - Shipped Sales

All orders received by 12:00 PM EST are shipped the same day. Orders received after 12:00 PM are shipped the next business day. We ship Monday through Friday. We are closed on the following days each year – Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, The day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
All sales are final. If your gelato or sorbetto doesn’t arrive perfectly frozen, we’ll reship the order at our cost.
We do have gift cards that may be purchased online. You can check your gift card balance here.

Yes, most of our products are gluten free. 

Yes, all of our sorbettos are dairy and fat free. Hard to believe as they are so ultra-creamy and smooth.
